April Showers, April's Flowers....

...nothing to do with May. Even though it will be May when most of you read this, these are April flowers helped by April showers planted by April IN April NOT May.

Oh, hi May, I forgot. One of my best commenters is named May, no offense May, but that rhyme has plagued me all my life. Or at least followed me. Every new introduction.... sigh.

I bet you hear the other one, "Oh Hi, May where's JUNE wha ha haaaa hhhhaaa." Like, UMMMMM..... yeah, that's like the OLDEST most USED and horribly unoriginal JOKE NOT JOKE, EVER, smarty smarty bo barty. Eventually I started saying to those people.... "So, do you really think I've NEVER heard that?" That might sound mean, but PALEASE! You can only hear the same awful joke so many times before your eye starts to twitch. I do appreciate the original ones, though. Someone who met me in the month of May said, "Hey, just call her last month."

oh yeah, the flowers!

Here's my first Hibiscus Bloom Pretty in Pink

My Yellow Roses on my Dwarf Rose Bush

My Second Hibiscus Bloom on the Same Plant (cool!) Pretty in PEACH

Last but not Least, My Marvelous Marigolds, about 12 I think
a Perfect Perimeter Plant

As for these, they are Future Flowers

These Azaleas have already bloomed, so we'll have to wait
until early next Spring to see them

This is a Blackberry plant, if it awakens, it'll have blooms in June, maybe.
I think it may be deceased, though, we'll have to wait and see.

I'm still knitting and the hat is looking cooler by the minute. I really love how the yarn fades in and out. The self striping is really pretty. I'll have to take another pic of it when the sun is up. Probably tomorrow or Tuesday.

Goodbye the month of April

Still Knittin' and Pickin'

Well, the progress may be a bit slower than usual, but it is progress nonetheless. I'm knitting in the moments in between group therapy sessions (which are SO helpful, btw) and I think one of my peers wants me to teach her to knit? I'll keep y'all posted on that.

My guitar lessons are going SO great, but.... tragically, my teacher is moving back home. Well, it's tragic for me, happy for him, of course. It's always nice to go home. So we're cramming a large amount of info in these lessons. I hope I can absorb fast enough to get it.

Oh yeah, did I mention that I got myself a new electric guitar? OH YEAH, bayybeeee, it rocks. I'll show her to ya..... in a few days. She deserves a post all to herself. Don't worry, I'm not neglecting my other guitar, it's better to have 2 anyway. One acoustic and one electric. If I was Harry Connick Jr. I'd have about 39 guitars or some such awesome number. One day I will be a collector, but for now, not so much. =)

beanie beginnings

It's an easy breezy knit. K2 P2 ribbing all the way up. Not too fancy with the stitches b/c the yarn is already doing a good job of making it interesting.

and a closer more hatty look

As soon as the hat is done, I'll be doing a scarf to match, so come next winter, I'll have a matching hat and scarf that is actually wool and has no novelty stuff in it. Somehow I'll learn to forgive my early knitting months of long foofy frufru scarf oddness. =)

I love good yarn - ***sigh***

Back from Sabbatical

Sabbatical - that's a good way to say, I was in the hospital for a few days. Not the 'I'm ill or broke my leg,' hospital, but the, 'I spun out AGAIN and went to the rehab type hospital, even though I've never done drugs or been an alcoholic.'

SO.... now I'm feeling much mo betta. Of course there is NO knitting in rehab (to many ways to use needles against yourself or others, apparently) so I have nothing to share in the ways of that. I can say this, though....

When you feel that thing, sanity, start to slip and/or spin a bit. Get help SOONER, rather than later. Reason being, the slipping and the all out flipping feel remarkably the same as each other. SO...... get thee to your physician and ask for help.

So, that's my story, the big picture. I don't want to go into any details and I'll be back to my MOSTLY normal posting very soon.

Tomorrow - or today, if you are reading this on Wednesday - I'll be back to my regularly scheduled, mostly normal, life stuff. I started knitting something before, and I'll probably pick it back up soon.

I'll be posting again very soon!

ALRIGHTY then!

So, you have probably noticed that it's starting to get DEEP in here.

Yeah, that was basically the idea when I started this blog and that's why I gave it this fancy shiny purty name. Well uuuummmmm, it's apparently got a LOT more potential than I realized. Ya SEE? You REALLY REALLY have to think about stuff before you name it. OKAY? WELL, I should say, if you wonder about that sort of thing and get confused, you should probably contemplate carefully the names you give things. I always have and I'm different from most. SO take that advice or leave it if you know what I mean.

SEE?

hahaha

SO - for those of you who are starting to twitch from this sort of talk. I have an alternative for you. I have at least three boats.

One boat is a cruise ship, big bad and stable, going out to open sea and it's fixin ta get stormy. (that would be this boat)

One boat is going to travel a bit, but stay mostly near the beach. Jaunty - go with the flow. (that will be my knitting blog - or something)

ONE boat may not BE on the ocean, but - well, maybe it's one of those boats that can do what it wants, too, like a little sail boat or something that can take a decent journey around the Cape but can also manage the fjords.

So there you have it. What is it you have, I don't even know yet. So don't ask me what I'm talking about because I haven't made a decision yet, which is ok, because boats are good and sometimes you just have to get out of the Ocean into something LESS deep.

Okay.

Knit2BTied is my New OLD Knitting discussion forum =)*)

This blog is going to stay the same

The other one is TBA when it's ready (unless....well - YOU know? right?) hahahaha

not as hard as it sounds, but if I told you ALL the answers you'd loose interest in what the heck I'm talking about.

I'm weird like that now. SO see ya over there where I still have the tangling disease =)*)
